Hello my name is Matthew Galindo my designs visually communicate ideas and with each new design a problem is solved. Inspiration comes first from the problem that is given to me or the theme of the project. Once these are known my visual research expands by looking at advertisements, magazines, art, the internet and album covers. Artists who inspire are Jacob Cass, David Airey, Ingrid Sundberg and Sunny Siu. I use Photoshop to manipulate and create various projects from layout to color correction. I have been using Photoshop since high school and have been keeping up to date with it learning the millions of things they put in the software. All of us artist don’t have the time to know every single thing in Photoshop because it is so complex and you can mix and match the different effects you encounter. When it comes to logos I use illustrator to make high res projects so you can put them on a business card or t-shirts. I also use indesign to layout pamphlets and tri-folds. I also like art that consists with music and the artist genre it inspires me when I listen to music. I draw out my design or layouts before I put them together in Photoshop or illustrator for the final product.
